Rodríguez de Hita, Antonio (c. 1724–1787)

Spanish composer. In collaboration with the poet Ramón de la Cruz he made important contributions to Spanish opera. He was maestro di cappella of Palencia Cathedral in northern Spain and, from 1757, of the Convent of the Incarnation in Madrid.
