Rodrigo

Opera in three acts by Handel (libretto after Francesco Silvani's Il duello d'Amore e di Vendetta), produced at the Teatro del Cocomero, Florence, in 1707. The opera was revived, with recently discovered Act 3 material, by the Handel Opera Society in 1985. The story concerns Rodrigo, who gains the throne of Aragon by murder but eventually abdicates.
