Rolphton

Locality in Renfrew County, southeast Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the Ottawa River, 180 km/110 mi west-northwest of Ottawa. Ontario Hydro here operates a small nuclear power facility that was Canada's first (1962). Chalk River, 26 km/16 mi to the southeast, is the site of Canada's first reactor, an experimental facility opened in 1944.
