Romberg, Siegmund (1887–1951)

Hungarian-born US composer. In 1909 he went to the USA as an engineer, but later began composing with great success.

He studied at the University of Bucharest and then in Vienna with Richard Heuberger.

Blossom Time (after music by Schubert, 1921), The Rose of Stamboul, The Student Prince (1924), The Desert Song (1926).
