Romblon

Island in the Philippines, situated in the Sibuyan Sea southeast of Mindoro Island, and south of Luzon island; area 83 sq km/32 sq mi. The main town is Romblon, the capital of Romblon province. Romblon marble handicrafts are produced, mainly for tourists, the island being a stopover point for passenger ships.

Romblon Island is the site of San Andres fort, built in 1640 by the Spanish, which is now a weather station.
