Rorem, Ned (1923– )

US composer. He studied at the Curtis Institute and Juilliard School, New York. He has held academic posts at the Universities of Buffalo and Utah, and at the Curtis Institute (from 1980).

Works Opera A Childhood Miracle (1955), The Robbers (1958), Miss Julie (1965), and Hearing (1976).
