Rose vom Liebesgarten, Die

Opera by Pfitzner (libretto by J Grun), composed 1897–1900 and produced at Elberfeld in Germany, on 9 November 1901. The story begins during the celebration of spring, when the fairy queen Minneleide is abducted by the Night Sorceror. Siegnot, who loves her, is killed while rescuing her but is restored to life.
