Rosenblum, Robert Harvey (1927–2006)

US art historian. He taught art and archaeology at several institutions, notably New York University (from 1976) and specialized in neoclassical, romantic, and 20th-century art. He was curator of 20th-century art at the Guggenheim Museum 1996–2006.

He was born in New York City. He studied at Queens College (BA 1948), Yale (MA 1950), New York University (PhD 1956), and Oxford (MA 1971). His books include Cubism and 20th Century Art (1960), Transformations in Late Eighteenth Century Art (1967), and The Dog in Art from Rococo to Post-Modernism (1988). He received the French Legion of Honour award in 2003.
