Rosenhain, Jacob (1813–1894)

German pianist and composer. He studied with Kalliwoda, Schnyder von Wartensee, and others, and made his first appearance as a pianist at Frankfurt in 1832. He visited London in 1837 and then settled in Paris, where he played and taught.
