Rosetown

Town in southwest Saskatchewan, Canada; population (1991) 2,500. It is located 116 km/72 mi southwest of Saskatoon, in an extremely rich wheat farming prairieland. Founded in 1904, it grew into a farm centre in 1908 with the arrival of the Canadian National Railway. Today, it is a major transportation hub and service centre for the region.
