Rota, Nino (1911–1979)| Italian composer. He studied with Ildebrando Pizzetti, Alfredo Casella, and in the USA. On his return to Milan he obtained a degree with a treatise on the 16th-century Italian composer Gioseffo Zarlino and Italian Renaissance music. In 1950 he was appointed director of the Bari Conservatory. |
