Rowan, John (1773–1843)

US representative and senator. He represented Kentucky in Congress (Republican) 1807–09, serving in the state legislature 1813–24, and the Senate 1825–39 where he chaired the Judiciary Committee.

He was born in York, Pennsylvania.
