Roxburgh, Edwin (1937– )

English composer, teacher, and conductor. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London, and with Luigi Nono and Dallapiccola. In 1967 he was appointed professor of composition at the Royal College of Music. He is active as an oboist and as a conductor of modern music.

Variations for orchestra (1963), ballet The Tower (1964), A Mosaic for Cummings for two narrators and orchestra (1973), wind quintet (1974), oratorio The Rock (1979).
