Berkshire

Former county of south-central England; from April 1998 split into six unitary authorities: West Berkshire, Reading, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham and Bracknell Forest.

Berkshire

Breed of domestic pig named for Berkshire, England, where it evolved from strains of differing origin and type. Berkshires are of medium size and mainly black in colour, with white on the face, legs, and tail-tip. They are used for pork production in many countries.
