Royal Northern College of Music

College founded as the Royal Manchester College of Music in Manchester, England, in 1893. Its first principal was Sir Charles Hallé, followed by Adolf Brodsky (1895), J R Forbes (1929), F R Cox (1953) and J Wray (1970–72). In 1972 the college merged with the Northern School of Music to form the current Royal Northern College of Music. Its principal is J Manduell.
