Rüdesheim

Town in Hesse, Germany, 25 km/15 mi southwest of Wiesbaden; population (1994) 10,300. It stands on the right bank of the River Rhine, opposite Bingen, and is in the region known as the Rheingau. The area produces wine and attracts tourists.
