Rumex

Genus of about 200 species of annual, biennial, and perennial herbs in the family Polygonaceae. They are found in temperate regions, mainly in the northern hemisphere. The genus includes species of sorrel, with sharp-tasting leaves, and dock, which has a deep tap-root.
