Rumpler

Berlin aircraft company which made aircraft for the German Army in World War I.

The company began by building Taube monoplanes under licence, then developed a number of two-seater reconnaissance biplanes, trainers, seaplanes, and three-seater bombers. Among the more remarkable designs was the C7 high-altitude photo-reconnaissance machine which pioneered the use of oxygen and heated suits for the two-man crew.
