Rushville

Town and administrative headquarters of Schuyler County, west-central Illinois; population (1990) 3,200. It is located 37 km/23 mi south of Macomb. A trading centre for the area's grain and fruit, it is the site of a major genealogical research institution, the Schuyler Jail Museum and Research Center.
