Russell, Jane (1921– )
US actor. She was discovered by the producer Howard Hughes, and promoted as a ‘pin-up girl’. Her first film The Outlaw (1943), was not fully released for several years because of censorship problems. Other films include The Paleface (1948), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), and The Revolt of Mamie Stover (1957).
