Soar

River in Leicestershire, central England; length 65 km/40 mi. It rises just within the Warwickshire borders and flows through Leicester and Loughborough to Ratcliff, where it joins the River Trent, 14 km/9 mi southwest of Nottingham and 17 km/11 mi southeast of Derby. It is navigable as far as Leicester.
