Stowe

Town in north-central Vermont, southeast of Mount Mansfield, 40 km/25 mi east of Burlington; population (1990) 3,400, including Stowe village, Lower Village, and Moscow. Local ski areas, among the nation's oldest and largest, have been joined by other year-round sports and tourist facilities to create one of New England's major resort districts.
