Sack, Israel (1883-1959)

Lithuanian-born antiques dealer. Sack emigrated to the USA in 1903. He opened his own business in 1905 and became an influential antiques dealer with outlets across the USA. He was one of the first to appreciate American antique furniture and furnishings, collecting pieces that would later appear in the American wing of New York City's Metropolitan Museum.
