Saint-Denis, Michel (1897–1971)| French theatre director and actor. He founded both the Compagnie des Quinze 1930 and the London Theatre Studio 1936–39. From 1946 to 1952 he was director of the Old Vic Theatre School, and became an artistic adviser for the Lincoln Center in New York 1957, and later for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Britain 1962. |
