Saint-Laurent

City in southern Québec, Canada, in the centre of the Ile de Montréal, west of Mount Royal and north of Dorval; population (1991) 72,400. It is a residential and industrial suburb, manufacturing aircraft, railway carriages, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, electronic equipment, and a range of other products.

The Collège de Saint-Laurent (1847), the Séminaire Sainte-Croix (1899), and the Collège Basile-Moreau (1929) are here.
