Sales, Pietro Pompeo (c. 1729–1797)

Italian composer. He was appointed Kapellmeister to the Prince-Bishop of Augsburg in 1756 and served the Electoral Court in Koblenz in the same capacity from 1770. He also travelled in England and Italy in 1776, appearing as a virtuoso gamba-player.
