Salisbury, Rollin (D) (1858-1922)

US geologist and geographer. Rollin became head of the geography department at the University of Chicago in 1892, and then head of the geology department. He was also dean of the Ogden Graduate School of Science 1899-1922. He specialized in glacial deposits, studying them in South America, the Arctic, and New Jersey.
