Salzburg Festival
| Annual music festival held in the Austrian town where Mozart was born. Although the festival concentrates on the works of Mozart, other composers are also represented. It grew from the first eight Mozart festivals held between 1877 and 1910. The new theatre opened in 1960 and has the largest stage in the world. |
