A commercial and distribution centre, it is situated in a vast citrus fruit-growing district in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains; rail and road routes enter the Los Angeles basin here through the Cajon Pass. Industries include the processing of food and lumber, and the manufacture of steel, and aerospace and electronic equipment. |
