Sandeau, Jules (1811–1883)

French novelist and dramatist. He collaborated with George Sand on the novel Rose et Blanche 1831 and with Emile Augier on Le Gendre de M Poirier 1854; he also wrote many novels and plays independently, including Mademoiselle de la Seiglière 1848 and Sacs et parchemins 1851.
