Sangster, Robert Edmund (1936–2004)| English racehorse owner and breeder. He founded the Coolmore Stud with trainer Vincent O'Brien, and in 1975 formed a multimillion-pound syndicate of big owners. Particular success came with their imported Kentucky stallions, notably Alleged, which won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe twice. In 1986 Sangster bought a training business at Manton, Wiltshire, which had 62 horses in training by 1996. |
