Sarbu, Eugen (1949- )

Romanian violinist. He made his solo debut aged six, and after study in Paris he joined Ivan Galamian at the Curtis Institute, and studied further at the Juilliard School, New York, and with Nathan Milstein in Zurich. He performed regular concerts throughout Britain, including his London Promenade Concerts debut in 1982, Europe, the Americas, and the Far East. His recordings include Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and concertos by Sibelius and Mozart.
