Satir, Virginia (Mildred) (1916–1988)| US educator and psychotherapist. Satir pioneered the development of family therapy by conducting workshops nationwide. She helped to found the Mental Research Institute in 1959 and established the International Human Learning Resource Network in 1979. Her publications include Peoplemaking and Self-Esteem. |
