Say's law

In economics, the ‘law of markets’ formulated by Jean-Baptiste Say (1767–1832) to the effect that supply creates its own demand and that resources can never be underused.

Widely accepted by classical economists, the ‘law’ was regarded as erroneous by J M Keynes in his analysis of the depression in Britain during the 1920s and 1930s.
