Sayreville

Town in east New Jersey, near the mouth of the Raritan River, 8 km/5 mi southeast of New Brunswick; population (1990) 35,000. Chemicals, plastics, ceramics, photographic film and supplies, and building materials are manufactured here. Sayreville is also a fashionable residential community.
