    0.01 sec.

Schadaeus, Abraham (1566–1626)

German composer. His Promptuarium musicum, a collection of motets, was published in Strasbourg in three parts, in 1611, 1612, and 1613. A bassus generalis (continuo) was added by his friend Caspar Vincentius; a fourth part, dated 1617, was entirely by Vincentius.

Schadaeus became Rektor of the Lateinschule (grammar school) in Speyer in 1603. Dismissed in 1611, he then held different posts in Upper Lusatia and retired in 1617 in Finsterwalde.
