Schneider Trophy

Aviation trophy presented by Jacques Schneider in 1913 for competition between seaplanes of any nation. From the first holder, M Prévost in 1913, who averaged 73.62 kph/45.75 mph, the trophy changed hands several times before being won outright by Britain, after victories in 1927, 1929 and 1931, the last creating a world record of 547.30 kph/340.08 mph.
