Schorr, Daniel

Schorr, Daniel (Louis) (1916– )

US broadcast journalist. Schorr began his career as a print journalist. In 1953 he became CBS News diplomatic correspondent, a position he kept until the late 1960s when he began covering American politics. Schorr won three Emmys for his coverage of the Watergate scandal, and earned the wrath of several presidents in the process. He was later dismissed from CBS for leaking a Congressional report.
