Schröder-Feinen, Ursula (1936–2005)

German soprano. She sang in Gelsenkirchen during the 1960s as Aïda, Alceste, Oscar, Turandot, and Salome. She made her New York debut at the Metropolitan Opera House, as Chrysothemis. She sang Brünnhilde at Bayreuth (where she made her debut in 1971), and in Paris and New York. In London she was heard as Ortrud and Kundry, and at the 1975 Edinburgh Festival she sang Salome.
