Schriever, Bernard Adolph (1910–2005)

German-born aviator. Schriever emigrated to the USA as a child. A combat veteran of World War II, he headed the Air Force's intercontinental ballistic missile program during the formative period 1954–59. After retiring in 1966, he became a consultant to the aerospace industry.
