Schuster, Max (Lincoln) (1887–1970)

Austrian publisher. Schuster and his friend Richard Simon founded the publishing house Simon and Schuster in 1924. One of Schuster's early contributions to the success of the firm was commissioning Will Durant to write the trend-setting The Story of Philosophy (1926).
