Schwemmer, Heinrich (1621–1696)

German composer. He studied with Kindermann at Nuremberg, where he became a master at a school in 1650. In 1656 he became choirmaster at the church of Our Lady, where among his pupils were J Krieger and Pachelbel.

wedding and funeral anthems, motets, hymn tunes, and other church music.
