Schwob, Marcel (1867–1905)

French writer. His work is associated with the decadent and symbolist movements. His volumes of tales include Le Roi au masque d'or/The King with the Golden Mask 1892, Le Livre de Monelle/The Book of Monelle 1894, Vies imaginaires/Imaginary Lives 1896, La Croisade des enfants/The Children's Crusade 1896, and La Lampe de Psyche/Psyche's Lamp 1903. He also wrote essays and various works on the 15th century.
