Schytte, Ludvig Theodor (1848–1909)

Danish pianist and composer. He was in business as a chemist, but took to music in 1870. He studied with Gade and others in Copenhagen, and later with Taubert in Berlin and Liszt at Weimar. In 1887 he settled in Vienna as a concert pianist and teacher.

monodrama Hero, operettas Der Mameluk and Der Student von Salamanca; piano concerto; piano music.
