Seager, Richard B(erry) (1882–1925)

US archaeologist. In 1903 Seager joined an excavation of Minoan remains on Crete and was soon in charge of his own site. Seager stayed in Crete for many years and wrote many important works on his finds at Pachyammos, Mochlos, and Pseira. Seager was also a collector of sealstones and other small artefacts, and he donated his collection to various museums.
