Sebastiani, Johann (1622–1683)

German composer. He went to Königsberg about 1650, where he became cantor in 1661 and was music director at the electoral church 1663–79. He wrote a Passion for voices and strings, with chorales included in a Passion setting for the first time.

He probably studied in Italy.
