Secaucus

Town in northeastern New Jersey, on the Hackensack River, 6 km/4 mi north of central Jersey City; population (1990) 14,100. Metal goods, pharmaceuticals, coffee, frozen food, and other products are manufactured; there are numerous warehouses. Secaucus is the site of an enormous retail outlet complex and of the Meadowlands Convention Center.
