secret service

Any government intelligence organization. The US Secret Service is a law-enforcement unit of the Treasury Department. It is charged with combating counterfeiters and has responsibility for protecting the president and other senior members of the government. There is a special body for the customs service. The whole service is under the direction of the chief of the Secret Service division.
