Seebohm, Frederick (1909-1990)

English banker and philanthropist. Seebohm joined Barclays Bank at 20, progressing to become chair 1965-72. He was highly influential in the banking world, and chaired numerous governmental and quasi-governmental committees. He was knighted 1970 and made a life peer 1972.
