Seeger, Charles (Louis) (1886-1979)

US conductor, teacher, and composer. After conducting at the Cologne Opera in 1910, he was professor of music at California University 1912-19, and from 1958 he was engaged in research there. He wrote books on theory and ethnomusicology.

He studied at Harvard University.
